Bloody Mary

Has anyone played Bloody Mary? The dare to summon a ghostly creature usually during sleepovers or on Halloween. But do you know the story about her? The legend can be traced back to the 13th century to Northern England. The only thing we really know about her is that she is sometimes known as Mary Worth and she tends dwell in mirrors.
To summon Bloody Mary you need to do a ritual which involves going into a dark room with a mirror and a lighted candle. Stand in front of the mirror holding the candle and say Bloody Mary three times and she will either appear in the mirror or behind you. What Mary does to the person who is foolish enough to summon her depends on her mood, she likes to gouge out eyes, steal souls,  mutilate faces, or pull them into the mirror for company...it's not really worth it is it? But who was Bloody Mary when she was human if she ever was.
Disfigured Mary
Some people believe that Mary was once a beautiful girl who was disfigured in an accident, her injuries never really healed which left her with a bloodied appearence which was how she got the name Bloody Mary.  She was bullied and when she became a recluse she was tormented by people throwing eggs at her home and sending mocking letters she couldn't take anymore and committed suicide, but still carries the anger and bitterness inside her and she believes those who are calling her in the mirror are mocking her, as the bullies did all those years ago and she comes and seeks her revenge.
Witch Mary
Once there was a village, a happy little place until children started to go missing, and the villagers turned, as they always seemed to do to the little old lady who lived in the woods, the same little old lady who knew herbs and used them to help people get better and helped deliever most of their children, but because she seemed to have supernatural abilities she seemed the most likely subject. Believing that she was using the children's bodies in black magic they pulled the old woman out of her house and tortured her to find out what she did with them. The old woman, Mary, couldn't or wouldn't say, they tied her to a stake and lit a fire, as she began to burn she cursed them and said that anyone who said 'Bloody Mary' (because buring to death that's more or less what she was) whilst holding a candle in front of a mirror at night she would come and take her revenge on them.
Mother Mary
In this Bloody Mary story Mary was a young Mother who gave birth to a terribly deformed baby, scared that the poor little mite was a demon those who lived in Mary's village snatched the baby from her arms and left in the woods to die. Mary didn't care what her baby looked like and spent night and day looking for her lost infant, going completely mad with grief. Months later a plague hit the village, crops failed to grow, children got sick and died, and cattle wasted away. The villagers believed witchcraft was involved but who could be a witch? Why the woman who gave birth to a demon. Poor Mary was beaten to death by her neighbours. In this version of the legend you stand in a darken room in front of a mirror, and say 'Mary I have your baby' three times, when Mary appears and when she discovers that you haven't got her child she becomes very, very angry, well if someone was taunting you about your lost baby what would you do?
